Why do many clinics specify age parameters for when to get a hair transplant?

Many hair transplant providers prefer using age parameters to avoid disastrous outcomes that may occur in patients who undergo surgery too early in life. Hair Restoration With 10,000 Grafts-Before Photos

In punch graft excision, large-diameter punches, between 3 and 6mm are used to remove circular grafts of scalp tissue containing numerous hair follicles. These not only create unnatural looking, pluggy clusters, but also leave very large, obvious empty, pale-colored dots in the donor area, often referred to as black and decker punch scars. Flap surgery is another procedure considered to be outdated within the field of modern hair restoration. It is intended to create an instant hairline by excising a narrow ribbon of skin from the sides of the scalp where hair is still growing plentifully. The end of this narrow section (i.e. the flap) still remains intact to preserve its blood supply.

The outermost region of the hairline affected by recession is removed through excision as a linear area to be replaced by the flap from the side of the head.

For this patient’s procedure, Dr. Umar harvested a donor pool entirely of non-head hair, consisting of 10,000 grafts. 2000 were derived from the beard area. And 8000 grafts were sourced from the abdomen, chest, arms, legs and thighs.

After a Dr.UGraft body hair transplant, is it possible for donor hair from areas like the beard, abdomen, and chest to develop new characteristics such as color and texture? Or will this hair continue to display the same traits as before?

Hair follicles will continue to hold the same DNA codes as in their original location. Will Rogaine or Propecia work to restore a receding hairline? 

Clinical studies have supported the use of Rogaine and Propecia for crown hair loss. No hair growth yield can be a result of air exposure to the grafts during extraction. The exposure causes grafts to dry up and become less likely to grow. After two failed strip surgeries, this patient had a depleted hairline, temples, and crown. Plus the linear scarring was quite visible on the back of his head and very difficult to hide. Solving the Issue of Not Enough Hair Transplant Donor Grafts – Dr.UGraft Procedure Photos:

Dr. Umar used his patented technology, Dr.UPunch i   to harvest a total of 13,000 donor grafts from the beard and the head and repair Follicular unit Strip Surgery mistakes.  Two separate sessions were conducted. 7000 grafts were harvested during the first procedure and 6000 grafts were attained in the second session.

Unlike head hair, beard and other types of body hair will grow at rather sharp angles. Regular FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) instruments are used by descending the punch tip at the same angle as the visible hair. Would SMP help me conceal strip scars if I want to wear a buzz cut after a Dr.UGraft hair transplant?

At first, the idea of using of ink pigment to simulate shaved hair might seem like a good way to camouflage strip scar tissue. However, when there is actual hair surrounding the region, most people can notice a difference in texture.  The strip scar would maintain a smooth appearance And the surrounding hair (even when cut short) would produce a contrasting texture.  Most people would be able to detect that ink was used. Therefore, SMP used strictly on the linear scar would not do the best job of hiding it.

Why do many strip hair transplant doctors tell patients that their method produces better quality grafts?

These specialists make the argument that technicians can examine the strip under a microscope. Therefore, they have the ability to carefully cut around each graft so that more of the tissue sheath around each follicular unit remains intact. According to this view, when tiny FUE punches are used, doctors have to guess where the follicle is. And furthermore, with these punches, there is a greater chance of slicing outer layers of the follicle’s tissue sheath and damaging their ability to survive long term.
