Here is a list of commonly asked questions about booking a hair transplant procedure at our clinic.
Does your clinic accept insurance?
Our clinic does not accept insurance payments. However, after a procedure, some patients may be eligible for refunds from their insurance provider. We are happy to help them fill out any information on the required forms needed to complete these types of processes. This can be discussed further when booking a hair transplant procedure.
Do you offer financing for hair transplant surgeries?
Our office does not provide direct financing options for our procedures. However, we do work with a company called M-Lend Finance who can help provide our patients with the financing plans for their individual needs.
Do you charge for initial in-office consultation visits?
If you decide to come in person to our clinic for your initial consultation, the price for your visit is $50. However, if you decide to have a hair transplant procedure performed at our clinic, this charge will be applied towards the overall cost of your procedure.
What forms of payment does your office accept?
Our office accepts the following forms of payment for our procedures:

- wire transfers
If I live out of the state or country, what is the best way for Dr. Umar to look at my hair loss condition?
Dr. Umar is able to discuss your specific hair loss concerns through our complimentary online consultation form. By submitting photos of your condition, Dr. Umar can make appropriate recommendations. The cost of a hair transplant procedure is typically discussed after this step.
What is your process for booking a procedure at your clinic?
Our standard process for committing to a hair transplant procedure at our clinic includes the following steps:
- Complete a consultation
- Schedule a recommended graft count and the dates for your surgery
- Submit your required paperwork within three days after you’ve scheduled your surgery dates.
- Submit your deposit payment within five days after you’ve been scheduled for your procedure
- Submit your full payment 1 month before your surgery
How far in advance do I have to schedule my hair transplant surgery?
We don’t have a set time-frame for having our patients schedule their hair transplant procedure. Our schedule constantly changes. And selecting the right dates would depend on our available slots. However, there is a process that you will need to follow before booking a hair transplant procedure at our clinic. This is outlined above.
Can I be informed of any last minute cancellations by any patients at your clinic to reschedule my hair transplant surgery?
Yes, if you live locally and are interested in being notified of any last minute cancellations, we can place you on our standby list. If a patient cancels, we will contact you to see if you are available on the day or dates they had been scheduled for. A non-refundable deposit is required to be on our stand-by list. However, we also offer a discounted surgical fee for those filling in at the last minute.
When do I need to have my procedure paid for in full?
The full amount of your procedure is due one month before the date of your surgery.

How do I reschedule my in-office visit to your clinic?
If you’d like to reschedule your in-office visit to our clinic, you may contact our clinic directly. We will do our best to a accommodate a date that is more convenient for you.
What is your process for canceling appointments at your clinic?
If you need to cancel an appointment at our clinic, we do ask that you notify our clinic at least 24 hours in advance before your scheduled date and time.
What is your cancellation policy after booking a hair transplant procedure?
If you have to cancel your hair transplant surgery, please contact our office by phone or email. We will try to find a replacement for your scheduled date. However, your initial deposit will be non-refundable if we cannot find a patient to fill in your originally scheduled procedure.
How many follow-up visits do I need following my surgery? How should these be conducted if I live in another state or country?
In most cases, Dr. Umar recommends that patients come in for their first follow-up 2 weeks after their surgery. Then they are advised to schedule a visit every three months for a year, following their procedure. If you live in another state or country, you may send us photos and/or videos for Dr. Umar to look at. He will follow up with correspondence to you through email.
Do you have any type of refund policy for hair surgeries?
Refunds would need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis. However, your initial deposit of 10% is non-refundable, along with the amount of $500 per day of your surgery. If you are requesting a refund due to canceling (or rescheduling), the full cost of your procedure is non-refundable.
Does your clinic provide transportation for patients after their procedures?
Yes, our clinic provides patient transportation, following surgery up to a certain number of miles.
We also provide a complimentary limousine pickup service from the LAX airport for patients arriving from outside the Los Angeles area. Patients not from the LA area are encouraged to inquire about travel and accommodations ahead of time.
Do you have a Spanish translator at your clinic?
Yes, we have medical assistant staff members who are fluent in Spanish. They are able to provide translation and assist you with any questions or areas of clarification you may have.
Does my head have to be shaved after booking a hair transplant procedure?
Our operating staff will perform the shaving for you donor area at the start of your surgery. You don’t need to arrive with your head already shaved. However, we also offer unshaved FUE hair transplant procedures. You would be able to maintain the length of your hair. However, since the extractions and insertions would be more time-intensive, the cost per graft for this type of procedure is higher.
