Following the completion of surgery, Anwar demonstrated an optimistic outlook concerning his recovery from the surgical procedure. Anwar mentioned that he experienced relatively low levels of post-surgical discomfort, reporting only mild tenderness at the surgical site, which did not necessitate any further intervention.
Anwar’s minimal discomfort, along with the absence of any need for a follow-up visit with Dr. Sanusi Umar, were encouraging signs that the surgery and healing process were progressing smoothly and without complications.

First Weeks Following Surgery – Critical Period of Wound Closure
Dr. U emphasized that the first three to four weeks after surgery to remove the Folliculitis Decalvans is a critical time for wound closure; the most important time is the first five days when the surgical site will be closely monitored to provide assurance of complete closure, to minimize inflammation, and to provide the best environment for healing to occur.
As the recovery progresses, the focus shifts to the regeneration and settling of the scalp after the procedure. The goal remains to achieve a balanced outcome; to restore the structural integrity of the scalp as well as to restore the natural appearance of the scalp.
