Cheyenne and her brother John were at the clinic on the day of his surgery. The visit was significant in terms of developing a long term management strategy for his long standing scalp issues. These conditions resulted in chronic cicatricial folliculitis, scarring changes and recurrent bumps on the back of John’s head for seven years. The day’s focus was to make John ready for his upcoming surgery to remove the lesions off of his head.

Hoping for a Better Life After the Surgery
In casual conversation while they waited, John and Cheyenne spoke about the various aspects of their lives following recovery from surgery. They were excited for John to try on wearing new hats or changing hair styles which had been limited by his bumpy areas on the scalp. He mentions how excited he is to start on a new journey after the surgery.

Plan Updates Before the Surgery
Dr. Umar then came into the examination room to speak with John and make sure he was ready to have the surgery. Dr. U, the Bumpinator, explained the good news relating to the plan for the surgery.
The approach used would target the chronic follicular damage and inflammation causing the symptoms. Now, the team began to prepare for the next structured step in achieving long-term improvement of scalp health.
