One-on-One Training with Dr. Umar

  • Each trainee will be provided their own 3.5-6.5 power magnification loupes/glasses and surgical scrubs for the training.
  • The program teaches only the follicular unit excision (FUE) method of graft harvesting. The strip method of hair harvesting (FUT) will NOT be taught.
  • Since the program uses only the UGraft for teaching FUE, trainees are required to have a device before the training ends. Devices will be made available to trainees at a discounted price.
  • A FUE Certification to trainee will be provided upon completion of Training with Dr. Sanusi Umar and the successful passing of the exam.
  • Training length 1-3 weeks*

Dr. Umar Ugraft Fue Training Curriculum**

1. Understanding Hair Anatomy: Trainees learn about the structure, growth cycle, and characteristics of hair follicles.

2. Patient Evaluation: Trainees are taught how to assess patients for suitability for FUE, including factors such as hair loss pattern, donor area evaluation, and patient expectations.

3. FUE Technique: Trainees learn the principles and techniques of follicular unit extraction, including donor area harvesting, graft extraction, and recipient site creation.

4. Surgical Instruments and Equipment: Trainees become familiar with the specialized tools and equipment used in FUE procedures, such as punches, forceps, microscopes, and implanters.

5. Graft Handling and Storage: Trainees are taught the proper handling, preparation, and storage of extracted grafts to ensure their viability and survival during transplantation.

6. Anesthesia and Pain Management: Trainees learn about local anesthesia administration and pain management techniques to ensure patient comfort during the procedure.

7. Post-Operative Care: Trainees are educated on post-operative care instructions, including wound care, medication management, and follow-up protocols.

8. Complications and Management: Trainees learn to recognize and manage potential complications that may arise during or after FUE procedures, such as bleeding, infection, or poor graft growth.

9. Patient Communication and Consultation: Trainees develop skills in communicating with patients, understanding their expectations, and providing appropriate counseling and guidance.

10. Ethical and Legal Considerations: Trainees are educated on the ethical and legal aspects of hair transplantation, including patient consent, privacy, and professional conduct.

11. Hands-On Surgeries on cadavers.

*May extend based on Mastery of Concepts and  Experience Level. If the training needs to go beyond 3 weeks, then the price is TBD, based on the training length.
