Before the UGraft Procedure: Disastrous Results From Other Clinics
The patient profiled here had initially undergone strip surgery to treat his baldness at another clinic. Unfortunately, not only did the transplant fail to restore his hair, it left him with unsightly scars around his scalp which limited his hairstyles. He then turned to Dr. Umar for help in restoring his hair.
Following his strip surgery, the patient still experienced thinning hair and baldness. The scars from the donor areas of his scalp also proved highly visible with his hair cut short. With the donor area of his scalp severely depleted and scarring to boot, the patient sought help from Dr. Umar for help in restoring hair.
The UGraft Solution:
After a consultation, Dr. Umar suggested that the patient would require 1,600 head grafts. 1,200 of those would be used in restoring hair at the hairline and at his bald spot. Dr. Umar would use the additional 400 to camouflage the scars from his patient’s previous surgery, restoring hair to the areas left barren.
Dr. U used 1200 head derived Ugrafts to give him a conservative natural looking front. An additional 400 head grafts were also used to camouflage the strip surgery scar. A total of 1600 Dr.UGrafts were implemented in order to fill out the top and conceal scarring. The entire procedure was performed by Dr. Sanusi Umar with the Ugraft system.
The Results: Restoring Hair with the UGraft Procedure
Minor work was done to bolster the hairline and fullness in the front. The Dr.Ugrafts were used to fill out and strengthen the forehead area. Additional head grafts were also utilized to cover up and conceal the strip scarring on the back of this patients head. Dr Umar’s use of the UGraft allowed for a conservative approach to the restoring hair. At the hairline, Dr. Umar straightened and filled out the temple points and edges of the hairline. This restoration will allow the patient to sport a short haircut without his hair looking thin or bald.
Startling Results After Restoring Hair
Dr. Umar didn’t limit the UGraft to just restoring the patient’s hairline. Use of the UGraft also allowed the doctor to transplant 400 grafts to the scar tissue left over from the patient’s first surgery. The transplant also yielded natural looking results.
