For 16 years, Anwar has sought and tried different treatments to get rid of the Folliculitis Decalvans (FD) mass on the back of his head. However, after every procedure, the large scalp lesion became worse.
Our patient Anwar has lived with Folliculitis Decalvans since he was 18 years old. The skin condition causes localized scarring alopecia and chronic inflammation, and over the years, Anwar’s FD scalp bump has grown to almost completely encompass the entire back of his head. “It’s evolved over the years through different types of treatments,” he mentioned. “The issues keep coming back, and they keep coming back worse than before.”
Finding A Solution With Dr. Umar
