This is an update from posting of her case report from over 1 years prior. This is an update of her results since the previous post in both photos and video. To recall, her journey to fuller, natural eyebrows started over six years ago. Seeking a sharp eyebrow look, the patient had opted to having her eyebrows tattooed. After some unsuccessful rounds of eyebrow tattooing, she was unsatisfied with the tattoos’ results. She needed an eyebrow repair. By this point, she decided to have eyebrow laser tattoo removal. Left hairless and with unsightly scars, she was frustrated.
She came to Dr. U Hair Clinic, in Manhattan Beach, Calif., for an FUE hair transplant eyebrow repair to permanently obscure the tattoo removal scars. Prior to the procedure the patient admitted she was embarrassed to go out in public. As a result, she went into hiding. After years of avoiding social gatherings, she knew she needed help.
UPDATED VIDEO AT 2 YEARS AFTER EYEBROW REPAIR USING PUBIC HAIR GRAFTS
The video shows significantly increased improvement since previous reporting of her case.
BEFORE: The challenge Dr. U faced creating a new eyebrow, but also camouflaging the scar in an earnest effort to provide the patient with normal, natural eyebrows. The patient was adamant she wanted thick eyebrows as a finished result. She also wanted a look that would lay back well on her skin. Dr. U had to find a balance between the scarring and creating a natural eyebrow shape in order to achieve the striking results she was looking for.
UPDATED: Photos Since the Second Surgery Using Pubic Hair Eyebrow Repair Using Dr.UGraft
The updated photos show significant eyebrow fullness and a more natural looking shape. In the eyebrow repair, Dr U had to choose a shape that will camouflage the scar created by laser removal of the tattoo while at the same time blending with the remains of her original eyebrows. It is not the shape Dr U would have used if he had a clean slate.

As aforementioned, the patient had eyebrow discoloration and eyebrow scarring, (above), attributed to an old eyebrow tattoo she got several years ago. Dr. U had to create the patient’s eyebrows in effort to provide her with the best eyebrow repair, (below), that would give her a natural look.
Pubic Hair to Eyebrow Transplant Procedure Photos
In total the patient underwent four hair transplant eyebrow repair procedures with Dr. U Hair Clinic. The first BHT eyebrow transplant procedure utilized donor grafts from the nape of her head, with a donor graft yield of 303 grafts (about 150 to each eyebrow). Dr. U published this formal study citing the merits of nape hair in eyebrow restoration in some patients. When FUE donor grafts from the nape alone didn’t achieve her desired results, the doctor decided that her best option would be a body hair transplant.
While many BHT eyebrow restoration procedures source donor grafts from the legs or in the case of men, the chest and beard area, the patient suggested a slightly unorthodox donor area for her fourth procedure – her pubic region. The Dr.UGraft™ FUE system makes any body hair transplant, including a pubic hair transplant, possible for all patients.
Although the results of her first procedure were a dramatic improvement from her initial state, the patient and Dr. U agreed more should be done to add density. A second procedure, nearly two years later, used her pubic hair, with addition to more donor grafts from the nape area.
The patient was one of few patients that has experienced the revolutionary approach of using pubic hair as a FUE donor site for eyebrow transplant. The patient’s second procedure required 210 donor grafts total. Pubic hair may seem like a strange choice when choosing an FUE donor area. However, in some patients, it may resemble the texture of real eyebrows much more closely.
What makes Dr. U and the Dr.UGraft™ FUE body hair transplant system so radically different? Dr. U’s uniquely designed Dr.UGraft™ system makes FUE body hair transplant surgery possible for all donor areas and all hair types. Dr. U is an industry leader in the world of BHT hair restoration, especially when it comes to hair restoration in patients of color.
This Los Angeles patient is a woman of Hispanic origin and according to Dr. U, the patient’s robust and vibrant follicles posed no challenge to the Dr.UGraft™ system, thus making her pubic hair to eyebrow transplant an overwhelming success.
Pubic Hair to Eyebrow Transplant Before and After Results Photos
The images are astounding side-by-side results achieved by this Dr.UGraft™ eyebrow repair. Permanent and natural-looking, her eyebrow implants mimic the appearance of the original follicles she had before flawlessly. It was challenging, considering Dr. U had to craft an eyebrow that covered the offending tattoo removal scars while still accommodating the shape of her natural eyebrows.
The tattoo removal scars and her natural eyebrows went in two completely separate directions, but nonetheless, Dr. U’s final result accomplished the task. The result is a pair of eyebrows that complement and frame the patient’s face beautifully.
After four FUE eyebrow hair transplants, Dr. U provided the patient with her desired look. But most importantly, she moved on with her life. The patient also said that even her friends noticed a difference and were immensely amazed at how natural her eyebrows looked. She also noted that her confidence was restored. It’s all about the results and due to the Dr. U Hair Clinic and eyebrow surgery is possible by the Dr.UGraft™ advantage the results often speak for themselves.
