Video: Marcus Is Ready to Say Goodbye to Acne Keloidalis Nuchae

Marcus returned to Dr. Sanusi Umar with a clear goal: move forward from the large scalp growth that had made something as ordinary as wearing a hat difficult. In this short chapter of The Bumpinator, the focus stays on Marcus, his acne keloidalis nuchae, and the plan Dr. Umar had already established for him.

A Scalp Growth That Changed Everyday Choices

The chapter opens with a practical detail that shows how much the growth had begun to affect Marcus. As Dr. Umar explains, Marcus was not able to wear hats because of it. The matching caption similarly notes that the growth had become large enough that he could no longer comfortably wear them.

What it does establish is the size and location of the growth, and the everyday limitation it created.

The Plan Remains the Same

Dr. Umar notes that not much had changed since the prior visit and that he did not expect much to have changed because it had not been very long. Most importantly, he confirms that the clinical direction was still intact: “Our plan still remains the same.”

That continuity keeps the chapter centered on preparation rather than revealing what comes next. Dr. Umar is shown guiding the conversation and maintaining the treatment plan while Marcus prepares for the next stage.

Saying Goodbye to “Mr. Brain”

The visit also carries a moment of humor. When Dr. Umar asks whether Marcus had a name for the growth, Marcus says he did not. The growth is then nicknamed “the brain,” later becoming “Mr. Brain.” The nickname lightens the exchange without losing sight of why Marcus is there.

The conversation turns forward when Dr. Umar asks whether Marcus is ready to say goodbye. Marcus answers plainly: “It’s time to say goodbye.” The chapter ends at that decision point, leaving the next part of his care for the story that follows.
