Hair Transplant Repair of Strip Surgery: Before Photos
This recent patient underwent a series of strip and FUE surgeries at another hair clinic in Los Angeles. In the prior clinic, the attempt was made using basic FUE and strip surgery solely relying on his head donor supply. This approach left the patient with extensive baldness and depleted head donor supply with a donor scar to boot. The failure of his surgeries also caused the patient a loss of faith and psychological anguish.
This approach by other doctors caused further depletion of the patient’s hair and more strip scarring. It also provides a good example of why surgeons should use body hair rather early in the process of hair restoration. A Norwood 6 type patient should never rely solely on head grafts for a full restoration or repair.
The exclusive use of the head donor hair has caused a depleted donor area. Even worse, his balding continued to progress, leaving him looking horribly disfigured. The photo below shows how the earlier procedures resulted in an odd hair pattern and an unblended hairline because of the progression of his baldness.
The Solution: Successful Repair of Strip Surgery – Before & After Photo
The patient’s leap of faith—and his meeting with Dr. Umar—paid off! Dr. Umar implemented his Dr.UGraft system for a successful repair and rehabilitation of the patient’s scalp. Dr. Umar completed the surgery using roughly: 3150 beard grafts, 1550 head grafts, 1300 nape grafts, and 500 chest grafts.
The restoration procedure left no lasting indications that he lost any facial hair from the Dr.UGraft™ body hair transplant.

Repairing Donor Hair Depleted Patient Using Dr.UGraft Frequently Asked Questions:
Hair transplant not enough donor: Other doctors have told me they can only use head hair in hair transplant surgery. What about the Dr.UGraft allows to use body hair for restoring donor areas?
The Dr.UGraft system was developed by Dr. Umar to treat a variety of hair loss related conditions. For that reason, Dr. Umar invented the Dr.UPunch tool to allow for safe and effective transplantation of hair from anywhere on the body without damaging the grafts.
My previous surgeries have exhausted my head donor area and I am still bald. Why is this donor area alone not sufficient in addressing my severe baldness?
A patient with Norwood 6 or 7 is already severely lacking in hair follicles, and the remaining hair is not enough to cover the whole head without causing balding elsewhere. By using body hair Dr. Umar can create a thick head of hair without thinning the remaining head hair.
